2-Man Team Trail – Chowan Results

Chowan River, N.C. — Chowan is coming back. Chuck Murray and Randy Groves took first place at the NC BASS Federation Nation Chowan River tourney on May 23rd, 2009 with 7 fish weighing 14.68 pounds, good enough to earn $580. Jeff Narron and Tim Little took home second place with a 7 fish limit as well weighing 13.83 pounds winning $350 and Danny Smith and Mike Barnes stayed hot coming in third place with 12.64.

Eric Lochner and Jim Sheehan weighed a seven fish limit as well weighing 12.80, but two dead fish kept the duo from taking third. We had 13 teams fishing the tourney, seven of them for the first time this year. Teams missing in action this tourney were Randy Broughman and Foya McLemore and Phillip Sykes and Patrick Wooten. My hat goes off to the Five County BASS Masters who fielded 5 teams for the event. Thanks for your support!!

Big Fish honors were taken by Tim Gardner and Curtis Johnson with a nice 3.55 pounder taking home a few dollars and a custom rod provided by Outdoor Accessories, owned and operated by Ed Collier. Thanks again Ed!!

The next stop for the team trail is on Gaston Lake on Saturday, July 11th. Hope to see everyone there! Please note due to a conflict, the October 24th tourney on Kerr Lake has been moved up one week to October 17th due to a conflict. Please mark your calendars.
