Bass tournament raises funds for Boys & Girls Clubs of NCNC
The annual bass fishing tournament on Kerr Lake hosted by the N.C.B.A.S.S. Federation Nation to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central North Carolina attracted 66 teams on April 15th. Winners of the $3,000 first place prize sponsored by Rose Oil Company and Rosemart Convenience Stores were Marty Warren and Michael Chlomoudis with a total weight of 19 lbs. Mike May and Dale Winstead captured the $2,000 second place prize sponsored by Country Snacks Manufacturing, Inc. with a total weight of 18.13 lbs. Robert Taylor and Anthony Taylor landed the “Big Fish” $500 prize sponsored by Toyota of Henderson with a weight of 4.92 lbs. Checks were presented to the top 8 entries.. Members of the clubs ‘corporate and advisory boards assisted throughout the tournament.
The fishing tournament is a primary fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central North Carolina and the organization expresses thanks to Chuck Murray, President of N.C.B.A.S.S. Federation Nation, the sponsors and the community for the funds generated to support Club programs.
